"Oh, both my shoes are shiny new, and pristine is my hat,
my dress is 1922... my life is all like that." Dorothy Parker

Elisa Casas was born and raised in New York City. She has a BFA in Photography from New York University and worked as a photojournalist and talent scout for major record labels before opening her first vintage clothing shop, Chelsea Girl, in November 1993. She fancies herself a bit madcap in an Audrey-Hepburn-Breakfast-At-Tiffanys sort of way but in reality is more of a Mary-Tyler-Moore-throwing-her-hat type. She's currently figuring out how to purchase a castle in Spain, but will settle for enough frequent flier mileage to visit every summer. |
