Rare, unusual style, something that Stevie Nicks would have loved in the 70s. The perfect satchel, big enough for all your stuff. Very soft suede, yet structured. Gray leather handle. Love the huge tassel in front. By “Moda.” Lined with an inside zippered pocket. Measures 19″ x 12″ with a 14″ strap. Excellent condition.
Vintage summer bags are hard to find. There are a ton of ladylike straws out there, but for us hippie chic gals there are few large shoulder bags, or hobos. I especially love the ethnic look of this one, in a great batik fabric. Lined in a black fabric, in very good condition, with a zippered inside pocket. Label says,”100% Cotton Made in India.” Measures 14″ x 13″ x 8″ with double 25″ straps. LOVE this bag!
Moonbags were manufactured by Patricia Smith, a Milwaukee-based artist, in the 80s. This style is sort of a slouchy bucket, made from metallic blue leather and textured suede. Gorgeous! Measures 11.5″ x “11.5 with a 51″ strap. Label reads, “Moon Bags Patricia Smith Designs Milwaukee WI.” Very comfortable and easy to use, great as a cross-body style or you can knot the strap to make it shorter. Excellent condition!

These bags were made in the 1960s by hippies in Maine. Each one was created by hand and no two were alike. When you see one in person, you understand why: they were total free-form designs, very earthy but also extravagant, often embellished with semi-precious stones. And they always used the finest deerskin leather.
This one is exceptional as I’ve never seen an Erda in metallic leather! Measures 10″ x 10″. Braided strap measures 50″ (can be knotted if you want it shorter.) Excellent condition.
We’re loving oxblood and burgundy leather, and this bag has it all. The perfect satchel, big enough for all your stuff. Very soft leather, yet structured. Great brass hardware. Measures 18″ x 11″ with 17″ double straps. Very good condition…no issues, but it has a slightly broken-in feel, which we love.
Awesome textural bag is a collage of different leathers and fabrics with a great wood decoration piece. Lined, with an inside pocket. Seven Handbags by Dimitri.” Measures 15″ x 9.5″ with 41″ strap. Excellent condition, looks unused.
Love these hippie bags: each one was created by hand and no two were alike. When you see one in person, you understand why: they were total free-form designs, very earthy but also chic. This one is embellished with a beautiful handmade flower and fringe in the softest, finest deerskin leather. No label. Measures 9″ x 7″. Braided strap measures 47″ (but can be knotted shorter.) Excellent condition.
Hippie-chic leather shoulder bag has great texture and cool brass hardware. Practical style: I always say you can’t know how comfortable a bag is until you carry it, but trust me, this one is comfortable and easy to get into. Unstructured, soft leather body. VERY roomy. Cotton velvet lining (typical of Italian leather bags of this era)…very clean, with zippered pocket. Measures 17″ x 14″. Nicely patina and in excellent condition!
Lou Taylor purses are common…but it’s rare to find a piece from his collectible zodiac series. I look for them constantly and have only found 3 in 20 years. This is his “Leo” purse featuring the lion in (very 1960s) pink! Silver hardware. Black faille lining has a pocket and change purse. Measures 7.5″ x 5″ x 4″. Signed “Lou Taylor Miami.” Good condition, but there is soiling to the bottom of the purse and a bit to the top as well (see last photo) which is not so bad as it blends into the background pattern. This purse is not perfect (reflected by the low price) but it is FABULOUS and what a great gift for a Leo friend!
