Picasso's "Guernica" is one of the most iconic historical paintings ever, depicting the bombing of the small village in Spain by the German and Italian forces at the behest of the Nationalists. It became a powerful symbol of death and destruction during and after the Spanish Civil War.
But, if you remove the emotional aspect of Picasso's piece, it's still a mesmerizing work of art with simple, linear style, so it's no wonder that it's been widely reproduced.
